Ginger Tea/Adrak wali Chai/Shunti Chaha Recipe - Health Benefits of Ginger Tea!
I am a big fan of Ginger Tea. Ginger tea is one of the popular flavours of tea which is consumed in Asia. Ginger is a type of herb which has medicinal value in it. Drinking ginger tea may help with everything from motion sickness to cancer prevention. There are few suspected health benefits of having ginger tea daily. It can help calm motion sickness symptoms like dizziness, vomiting, cold sweats and Nausea from morning sickness. It can prevent Blood pressure related issues and help in maintaining heart health, helps in controlling weight and blood sugar, Pain relief, Immune support and cancer prevention. It gives a soothing effect to the one who is suffering from cold and cough. It also helps in refreshing the mind.
Ginger tea can be prepared in two
variants. With or without milk. We can add lemon and pudina/tulsi to the ginger
tea which we prepare without milk.
Preparation
time: 15-20 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
1 small cup of water
1 inch ginger (Grated)
Cardamom 2-3 pods (Optional)
Small piece cinnamon (Optional)
2-3 tsp tea powder
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar / Jaggery
Steps
1) Boil one small glass of water in a pot.
2) Add 2 spoons of tea powder, 2-3 pods of cardamom and a small piece of cinnamon. Sugar can be added later or can be added with tea powder. Boil for 5 minutes on medium flame.
3) Ginger needs to be added very carefully. Tea will get curdled if we over boil the tea with ginger. Hence, I prefer to add ginger at the final stage. Boil it for 2 minutes and serve. If ginger is added before adding milk. Then tea should not be boiled for more time after adding milk.
4) Strain the tea using a tea
strainer.
5) Enjoy ginger tea/adrak chai
along with biscuits or evening snacks.
