BBQ : Barbeque Times - Backyard/Terrace Barbecue Party Ideas!
I am writing this blog to share my recent experience in organizing the barbeque party at home. I am sure most of us drool when we think of barbeque. Barbeque Nation, Absolute Barbeque, The Black Pearl etc are the most popular barbeque centers in Asia where mouth-watering barbeques are served. Barbeque very popular in America. The word barbecue comes from the language of a Caribbean Indian tribe called the Taino. Barbequing is one of the cooking techniques used in olden days.

To organise the barbeque party at home, we need to start the preparation at least a day before. Please find the list of barbeque party essentials:


1) Charcoal - Make sure you at least 1 kg of charcoal for barbeque party depending on the items and the number of guests you are planning to serve. Many vendors sell charcoal. Medium-sized charcoal is preferable. It cost around 30-50 Rs per kilogram based on size. You can buy it online also. It takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to burn the charcoal. We can use a little bit of kerosene and coconut shells to speeding up the burning process. This is a kind of team activities. Family members/ friends should participate in burning the charcoal. It is fun! 


2) Barbeque stand - We can buy Barbecue stand from online or retail shops where we get kitchen appliances. Or we can even get customised barbeque stand done from a welding shop as per our requirement.

3) Items that can be barbequed: These items need to marinated at least 3-4 hours before to get a better taste.

Non-veg : Chicken, lamb, fish, prawns etc. 

Vegetables : Paneer (this one is my favourite), Mashroom, Pineapple, watermelon, sweet corn, baby corn and baby potatoes.

4) Mayonnaise, Tomato ketchup, Pudina Chutney and butter.

5) Salads - Onion, carrot, cucumber, beetroot and cabbage. We can use lemon to enhance the taste of barbequed items.

6) Barbeque accessories: Barbeque grill nets, sticks, sauce brush, pincer/holder/chimta/pakkad etc are  the basic tools required. Check out accessories that we can have to arrange a barbeque party.

6) Beverages : Barbeque party is incomplete with beverages such as mocktails and cocktails.
