Travel Diaries - Wanderlust!

Image
I took a small break from writing, and now I am back with my new write-up.  This topic is now obsolete and almost like a dream, a flight-of-fancy. We are not sure when can we get back to the normal life style that each one of us was enjoying. The biggest happiness in one's life these days is to wake up alive in the morning. If you have a home to live, food to eat and family members to care for you, consider yourself as the luckiest person in this world.  I personally love to travel, explore new places and taste different kinds of food. I have travelled a lot within the country, and each time I have travelled I have had an amazing experience. I mostly like to visit hill stations and places where there is lot of greenery. It is important have those memories captured in the mind and cherish it through out our life.  I am suffering from wanderlust! 🙂 Travelling before marriage and after marriage is two different kinds of experiences. Was fortunate to have had surrounded m...

Types of people in the apartment - The Girl Next Door - Introvert Vs Extrovert

This write-up is different from my previous write-ups. I have picked up a new topic this time. Lockdown made me pick up this topic. I have lived in an independent house all my life and I was hesitant to buy an apartment as it doesn't feel like home. I always thought it is like living in a matchbox and I could not even think of buying an apartment in the city where I was born and brought up. But I was forced to buy an apartment for investment and security purpose. It has been 5 years that I moved to the apartment and I am happy to my surprise and by god's grace people around me are good by heart. I have always lived in an environment where kids of the whole street were one big gang and we were allowed to roam from one street to another without having any fear when we were kids. Even if we were lost someone would drop us till home. people living in next street would also know we belong to which family. Those were golden days.  I would like to share my experie...

Breaking Gender Stereotypes - Help Vs Contribution - Mutual Understanding!

This write-up is in continuation with my previous one on standing up for ourselves. This is dedicated to all the women out there. I don't want to differentiate it as "working women" and "housewives". Both are equally contributing to their families. Around 30 years ago from now, most of the women were homemakers and mostly were not going out for work. This is one of the reasons why women were primarily responsible for household chores. Men were primarily responsible for earning money for their living. This was the scenario decades ago when our society had still not modernised. But over the period women started working.  We started earning money and contributed to the growth of our families. Everything changed but the primary responsibility of taking care of household chores became additional responsibility for women's. This was not the case with men. Their primary responsibility is just to go out for work and when they come back home they expect...

Stand Up!

Image
I often see most of the married women are frustrated with the unrealistic expectations set by their respective life partners. The pressure of doing everything near perfect is so much that one will easily get into depression and forget that there is a beautiful world outside their house where they once lived happily before getting into the mess. We are so terrified and tired that there is no energy left to argue or explain. We do what they say, just to avoid unwanted fights and arguments. As a result, We often show our anger on our kids. We just want to stay away from any other external headache that comes on our way! We are always in a bad mood. And do not show interest in any other thing. As a result, we lose our friends and people who are close to us. Making new friends is totally out of scope! They want all our attention and doesn't want us to do any other thing other than washing their clothes, serving food and providing all the service they need on time with quality wit...
